This article assumes you already have a backup of the version of your database you want to restore.
You can restore a database to an older state using either one of these methods:
1) One-click restore
2) Manually restore a downloaded database
How to: One-click Restore your Database
1) Log in to your Customer’s Control Panel (CCP)
2) Click on the ‘Dropmysite’ tab
3) The ‘Dropmysite’ page opens
4) Click on the Login to Dropmysite button
5) The Dropmysite (DMS) Dashboard opens
6) Click on the restore () button corresponding to the backup state you want to restore
7) The ‘Database Restore’ page opens
8) Click the Restore button located at the bottom of ‘Tables’
9) A summary of the database you are restoring opens
Note: The ‘Restore to:’ feature is used to migrate this database to another database backed up on DMS, to learn how to do this refer to the FAQ ‘Can I use DMS to migrate my database to a new database?’
10) Tick the ‘By checking this box, I agree to overwrite the existing database with this restore.’ checkbox
11) Click the Restore button
12) You will receive a status update as the restoration begins
13) When done you will receive a confirmation that your database has been restored

How to: Restore your Database from a Downloaded Backup
1) Download the version of your database you want to restore (refer to ‘How to: Download Database Backups’)
2) Refer to your database service provider’s user manual on how to restore a database from a downloaded file (the instructions will vary from provider to provider and therefore are not described in length here)
