While a Partner is entering an Order into Cloud Marketplace, the platform will trigger Microsoft to verify the Partner's MPA compliance status. If the Partner is MPA compliant, the order will proceed as usual.

However, if the Partner is not MPA Compliant, Cloud Marketplace will not allow the final Submit button to be pressed, as the Order will Fail. Instead, the Partner will see one of the following messages to guide them to a self-serve resolution.

Message

What It Means

Action Required

MPN ID <<#######>> has not signed Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA) in this CSP Authorized Region.  Please Accept the MPA this CSP Authorized Region to remain compliant.

The MPN ID of the Indirect Reseller is not MPA Compliant because it is not Accepted.

This could be because:

  • The Reseller has never Accepted any MPA.
  • The Reseller has Accepted an MPA, but only at a "Global" level and not yet specifically for the "Region" they are transacting in.

The Indirect Reseller must log in to their PCD AAD Tenant matching the MPN ID they are using and accept their MPA.

Then return to the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace and place the order again.

(Microsoft may need some time for its systems to update.)

The CSP Authorized Region of the MPN ID <<#####>> is <<Region Name>> and doesn't match the <<Region Name>> from where you are trying to place an Order.

The Reseller has Accepted an MPA, but for another Region (i.e. in Europe, but not for the Americas).

The Indirect Reseller must log in to their PCD AAD Tenant matching the MPN ID they are using and accept their MPA.

Then return to the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace and place the order again.

(Microsoft may need some time for its systems to update.)

These other less common messages are possible, but should not normally be observed since other kinds of pre-validation that are already available today may supersede them:

MPN ID <<######>> is not associated with a CSP Indirect Reseller account in Partner Center. Please enroll into the CSP program as an indirect reseller in Partner Center.

The Reseller is registered with Microsoft, but not for CSP.  (Perhaps for other programs like Volume Licensing or Enterprise Agreement).

This case isn't expected as the Cloud Marketplace already validates that a CSP relationship exists between Ingram Micro and the Reseller, which in turn requires valid CSP Registration.

The Indirect Reseller must go to partner.microsoft.com to complete an onboarding process for the CSP Licensing Program.

MPN ID <<#####> is either invalid or not yet migrated from Partner Center. Please verify or migrate the MPN ID to Partner Center to continue with this Order.

The MPN ID has expired, been revoked or changed.  This case isn't expected as the Cloud Marketplace already validates that a CSP Relationship exists between Ingram Micro and the Reseller, which in turn requires valid CSP Registration.

If the Partner is still using Partner Membership Center (PMC) instead of Partner Center, they need to make the transition now.

If the MPN ID is expired, revoked or changed and Indirect Reseller has a new valid one, log into their PCD AAD and update the MPN ID to their current valid one.

If the Partner has not migrated from PMC, contact Microsoft Support to initiate this.
