A customer can decide to switch to a Cloud Solution Provider partner or another partner for their Microsoft Azure services. This is, however, a manual process that requires both partner and customer actions. To transfer an Azure CSP subscription from Ingram Micro, follow the below process.


  1. Fill out CSP Subscription Transfer form.
    • Complete Customer information, and sections 1, 2 and 4 of the form with appropriate signatures.
    • Please note that all signatures must be within 10 days of submission to Microsoft.
  2. Email the form to IMCloudServiceDesk.us@cloud.im requesting for completion of Section 3, appropriate signatures, and to create a ticket with Microsoft to initiate the transfer process.
    • Please note that the form must have all signatures.
  3. Modern Support will create a ticket with Microsoft to proceed with the transfer. The Reseller Point of Contact (POC) will be copied on the Microsoft ticket for visibility.
    • SLA: 24-72 hours
  4. The Reseller POC should be notified via the Microsoft ticket when the transfer is complete. The Modern Support Rep can also confirm completion.
  5. Once transfer is complete, cancel the Azure subscription within the Ingram Cloud Marketplace. Reference this article for assistance: How to Cancel an Azure Subscription. Cancelling the subscription removes the Azure tile and finalizes the outbound transfer process. Note that cancelling the Azure subscription will not cancel the true Azure subscription as that subscription ID has already been removed from Ingram Micro.
    • Please note that you will receive one final invoice related to the Azure subscription(s) leaving as Azure usage is invoiced 30 days in arrears.

  4. Sections 3 and 4 of the CSP Subscription Transfer form contain the information of either the Indirect Provider or Direct Partner information.
